The Low Down: Zone 2 DVD has three stores in Bergvliet, Diep River and Kenilworth in Cape Town. They pride themselves on being the first DVD-only store in the Western Cape and are known for their affordability.

Pros: You only have to return DVDs by 2pm the following day on weekdays. The pricing is very competitive with all DVDs/PS2 Games at R12 per rental (R50 deposit on games). The stores have had rental blow-outs from R2 per rental to celebrate the store's birthday. Their regular specials include: Rent 1, Get 1 Old Release Free from Monday to Wednesday with Half-Price Thursdays for Latest Releases, Kiddies and Budget rentals. Contracts start from R100 for 10 DVDs to R600 for 100 DVDs.

Cons: Zone 2 DVD has been running since 2002, which means the majority of their rental stock was released in the 2000s. Their market tends to focus on new release rentals, so there's a very limited selection of classic cinema. No blu-ray rentals as yet.
